Sent him a PM earlier today, nothing back as yet. Maybe the holiday with the family is more important than us car nuts.

And really your M235 isn't bad, I like the matte wrap, it's just the wheels that a bit too loud. I think a gunmetal would go great with that matte wrap, but it would obviously be a lot more sleeper.

Thanks dude...

To be honest the wheels look much better in person. That and I wanted anti-sleeper look.

Hopefully we can continue to get feedback. I recall early in the thread where Delnari mentions you can put the Dinan in bypass mode which reverts it back to the stock tune. Why not do this for one or two pulls?

OK .. sorry for the delay. I see I missed some heated comments. I think some people didn't have parents that hugged them enough or they never learned how to give constructive feedback in a half-way respectable manner.

Friday was a travel evening for me, and I'm just caching up with the time change.

There is an issue with my unit. She's way down on TQ, and I'm working with Dinan to get it all sorted out. They have been very helpful and I'm sure it'll get resolved straight away.

Just sucks its a holiday weekend and I cannot speak to them again till Tuesday.

I cannot scan the sheets right now. But here's what she did - 317TQ; 312HP.

Better then stock, but not where she should be based on other results.

It's a new product and there's bound to be some hiccups. I don't sweat the small stuff too often, I'm sure it'll all be fine by weeks end.

Thanks for the feedback fletch. Damn good thing you put it on a dyno else you would have never known you were down on TQ. And some folks were telling you the dyno was a waste of time.

Interesting that Delnari was told his TQ numbers were low as well, he had that AFE (on order) that seems to be a nice little torque monster itself.

I would suggest anyone else with the Dinan schedule a dyno ASAP.

The feedback that has been on topic has been great and I appreciate all of you early adopters providing back real world data and helping others make a decision.

Well this might actually be one of the only times a single dyno run can give you anything useful. Because of the fact the hp and tq number relation is so far off.

But still a single run doesn't give you anywhere near as much info as a before and after one.

He just knows his car on that dyno reads 317tq and 312hp but you have no idea what it was before so don't know what the improvement was. Maybe before the tune he Maude 310 hp and tune only gave him 2hp. I know that might be a little too much to an extreme but it's just the reality

He will never know what was the improvement he got from his 2k tube unless he goes and disable the tune and do another run on the Dino though.

This will be done, when I have time. Next few weeks I'll have the shop "turn it off" then test it

Kind of sucks for Dinan here...two installs, two dyno's, and two unsatisfied customers.

Sounds like his HP is in the right neighborhood though. From Dinan themselves I was told 315-317 HP is expected. Yes the TQ numbers for mine were low and extremely low for Fetch. I would say there is a bug in the programming for sure consider I was able to make 330 TQ with just an intake alone. Don't want to a beta tester any longer for tunes. Just some bolt-ons for now and let the tunes play out until next Spring.

Driving into D.C. yesterday I was doing the normal 25 mph side road to a couple of road ramps when a driver in a fairly new 911 Convertible came on my rear fast. I figure these guys in D.C. with a convertible sports car are all show and can't drive. So, I jump down to Sport manual mode and took the on ramp hard and watch mister wantabe just faded away quickly in my mirrors. He probably thought those new BMW's are really fast

Love the freeway on ramps when someone is riding your ass!!!! Many in Bay area start as two lanes and merge to one......I always allow the other car to get almost next to me.......then "BOOM" unleash the beast!!! Other day I was at 35mph when I dropped the hammer, had slight wheel spin and I was gone Guy in SRT8 Dodge got good understanding of horse power to weight ratio and ended up giving me wide eyed thumbs up!!!!

To those who are in talks with Dinan on solving it...what exactly is the issue?

With HP being within spec, that means that the issue deals with how soon or how strong boost comes on. Obviously, it's hitting the amount of boost pressure they're targeting, just not soon enough. If it wasn't even making the right amount of pressure, HP would be way low, not just TQ.

I'm sure they'll get it resolved. I just hope they've reimbursed you guys for dyno time. One would never have to dyno a car to make sure a product is delivering results as promised.

And imagine people that aren't dyoning their car. They may feel it's faster, but is it really, or is it a placebo effect?

** Update **

Finally received my CC credit today from Dinan. Rest assure, if you buy and don't like you will get you money back (minus labor charges and return shipping). Will keep a watch on the Dinan site for new products and updates for possible future trial(s).

Kinda, had the car read for codes.

Turbo Boost Sensor A Circuit Low ..

It was a friends Actron Reader .. We cleared it .. no noticeable difference.

Monday I can get to the dealer, I'll have them check it and clear any .. then I'll re-dyno it on Saturday. That's the first day I can get in unfortunately. Just so busy.

If there is no difference, I'll be back at the dealer to have them put it in bypass mode ..

then I'll get true baseline .. and go from there. Just sucks, I cannot do it all sooner and quicker!

Update

Ok... The dealer found a "pin" that was loose... Belonging to the car.

Dinan Tune is currently disabled.

Saturday I'll have a baseline dyno done.. With reconnecting Dinan on Monday.

I'll update then.

On a side note, Dinan has been fantastic through all this. Patient, proactive, and helpful.

Then there was an 'update' to the Dinan software that might have given him slightly better numbers and he went for a re-dyno.. but we have never heard back from him about what those results were.
