Above re: significant other's opinion of the choice to spend. LOL...loved that line.

BTW--Would be glad to post pics of what we did on exhaust, as requested above, but honestly, been out of complete touch with photobucket due to overseas work. Am not on FB for security reasons, so will have to get at it with some help. Confession is good for the soul--so no flames please...have just been out of your loop on trying to load things up for the forum fun.

Yeah, I know get a life --- but what I do is as far away from all the forum posting of driveway shots as you can get.

BUT if I can here, we did not "Y" the 3" straight pipes into main exhaust pipe. It was cut; then both actual OEM exhaust pipe remaining behind resonator after cutting and new straight pipe were flanged together, like an exhaust system is normally. It goes back straight aft, and ties to a lateral pipe, thus causing exhaust to yes, be slightly blunted, turn left or right and exit out twin pipes properly on both sides of M235 diffuser. Its the same basic bend made inside a PE but w/o the casing and holed-canister w/glass packing.

A "Y" at the flange junction was excessive the "T" farther back---just right. It actually matches the cracking good 335 vid in MAIN forum posts [RE: Comparing M235 to 335is exhaust note]. Cheers mates.

Has anyone experienced a vibration in the car with the muffler delete? I just got it done to my car and there's an obvious vibration happening around 2-2.5 RPM.

My fabspeed muffler delete made my rear license plate rattle around the same RPMs. I fixed this by putting double side tap on the back of it.

Yup 4" ER Downpipe. Love it. It's a little loud while you are loading it up, in the low RPMs. But once you are cruising, or on the highway at a constant speed, it's not bad at all.

Do you disturb the peace? Muhahahah!

I love the pops and burbles from the overrun.

Btw, what did you do with the flap valve sensor?

Just did this to my car. Aggressive sound!!! I have stock Downpipes and stock resonator (only other add on was AFE CAI).

I'll be posting a video soon of in cabin riding (i suppose you can look at Fabspeed Muffler Bypass system video on youtube, but their camera seems to be inside a GoPro case).

Not sure if their HFC downpipe changes the tone that drastically (i know catless will)

Oddly mine seems sort of quiet at that RPM range, will need to test again tonight (I dropped my car off this morning at muffler shop, went to work...picked up during lunch....drove 10 mins back to work)

For me anyway, there is drone at within the 3000 to 3500 RPM, and as @MayHac08 says...there is an obvious vibrating in the cabin at certain RPMS and Acceleration load. However, that is the only time i get drone. When cruising on the highway, or continues non-stop city driving, then there is not a presence of drone.

You can hear the "burble" sound even with windows up and i personally love it. I have yet to hear it from the outside, will need to get the g\f to rev it for me haha.

I have a straight through exhaust as well but I haven't been able to pop any flames as far as I know. I was really hoping I could

Quick update, i love the sound, but all the drone is most definitely at the 2500-3300RPM range.

(2300 and below for the most part quiet, 2400 sounds nice, and BAM 2500RPM things begin to shake, once you get past 3300 or 3500RPM all is good again). In city i can honestly say it drones , due to the constant acceleration and deceleration. And when i say drone, i mean it is quiet a loud and noticeable vibration drone. On the highway it is very quiet.

Would i do it again.....probably not. I love the sound, but definitely not for everyone. Luckily it wasn't expensive to make, and i can easily pop in the old exhaust with an exhaust sleeve adapter. May go AWE Exhaust in the future.

What do you think? I admit I'm a noob to the bmw scene so if I got the config wrong just recommend what I should be looking at.

Thanks
BTW, were you driving on NJTP South as far up as Exit 15/16 today around 5:00? (2/23). Just wondering cuz I was behind one for a while.
