Help needed w/replacemenet part - airbox to turbo
Hey there, I'm helping a friend out with their 2019 230i xDrive, and am looking for some assistance. While underneath their car a couple of weeks with the undertray removed, I noticed the some light seepage on the pipe that I believe connects the turbo to the air box as well as the box/pipe above it; pic from the passenger wheel well, looking up into the engine bay:
They took the car into BMW and got a $480 quote to replace the "air resonator" I'm looking to confirm the correct part - should I be replacing part 13718601681 from here ? If so: - should I replace the entire pipe, or just go for the o-rings and clamps? - how hard is it to remove/replace this part? Thanks in advance |

Realoem.com will help you conform the part # but does not sell parts. With the correct part # you can then shop for the best price.
BMW wants $230-280 for the part. Aftermarket (or could be the same manufacturer) is $184. Looks like you should be able to get to it by removing the air box. Good luck! https://www.genuinebmwminiparts.com/...ly-13718601681 https://www.autohausaz.com/pn/BM-13718601681 https://www.ebay.com/itm/154884068524
