More legroom!

Hey all! Does anyone know of a seat rail extender or some other trick to get the drivers seat to move back further than default?

I have a 2018 230i xdrive.

Any help or direction would be amazing!

Thanks in advance!

I would strongly caution against this idea for a couple of reasons. Even if you or someone could rig up a track extension that was compatible with the OEM track design to ensure seat retention to the track (how would this be tested to validate?), the new section would likely require some type of retention to the floor pan, but now in an area likely not designed for those loads. Secondly, the timing of the air bag deployment is optimized based on the mid-track position to allow for fore/aft positions at impact within the original seat track range. You would not want to be further rearward and encounter the airbag late in the deployment (this is within milliseconds) as it starts to deflate, potentially allowing your head/torso to push through onto the steering wheel and column.

OP: How tall are you? How long are your legs?
Your preferred seating position may be too far back.
Check out the many videos for proper seating position, which is closer than many people think.
Depending on the results, you may not need to extend the seat rails!

If you think you need more than the fully back position, I think that this is not the right car for you.
