MHD vs MG Flasher antilag

Why does MG Flasher antilag sound like real antilag where it is a hard ignition cut to build boost and shoot flames, while MHD and BM3 are more of just a solid rpm hold with not much action?

Not necessarily, I am just curious as to if there are any advantages to the ignition cut vs fuel cut?
