235 Convertible Arriving in U.S. This Week

Just as an update, our cars are still being held at the port. I have heard that some will be released on the 15th/16th as its been said above but I've also heard it might not be until the last week of this month. But guys be aware that once it's been released, it usually takes a day or 2 before the dealer will get the car. Once the dealer receives the car, it can take another day sometimes before it's fully prepped for delivery.

Mike, any guess why BMW is not offering the 235 convertible with X drive until MY16? Is there some combination of the more powerful engine and the (assumedly) extra chassis bracing required for the convertible that required more engineering time? Thanks.

From what I can see on my system, It looks like they took off the holds on the convertibles. Hopefully should see some movement within a few days!

They have an Estoril Blue M235i convertible at the Toronto Auto Show,if any Canadian members are interested in looking at the car.It really is a great looking convertible.

Even though I've ordered my ragtop in silver, I must say that EB is the best colour I've seen on the 2er.

I should have asked the BMW rep that was there from Miami.I was actually really disappointed because i specifically went to the show to see the new Long Beach Blue color that they have been showing on the new X6M at all the auto shows in the US.They didn't have the X6M or X5M in that color.The X6M was in Melbourne Red and X5M was in Silverstone.

The rep said that every show he was at in the US had the X6M in Long Beach Blue.I really wanted to see it because that is the color i will probably choose for the M2 i am going to order.I guess i will have to ask my dealer if he has an X6M or X5M on order in Long Beach Blue.

What a piss off. I was expecting the same thing, one of each of the new X M colours. Thanks for the heads up. And those wheels on the vert don't look like the 461M's that we can also get here. A bit different, thinner spokes or maybe it's the pic...or my eyes. Maybe a preview of a new MY'16 wheel or were they just 361's in an all silver colour?

I really didn't take a good look at them but they do look like they are the BMW 361 style wheels that you are referring to.

I just did a search and they do look like they are a true silver color compared to these old pics of the same 361 wheel.

This is my summer car so I went with the Michelin PSS, (non run flat, YAY)
I don't plan to use the convertible until the roads are clear and the sun is out, April here in Pennsyltucky.

Confirmed, Picking up my 2015 Alpine White, Black interior loaded (except DAP+) tomorrow night... finally, only 50 days after the dealer originally promised! Will post pics when I get home hopefully.

LOL, there was a 16 wheeler this morning with "luxury" vehicles that turned over and burned this morning in Houston, I frantically had to find out that they were all audis as with my luck on this car, I thought they may have been BMWs...
