Looks like a Honda Fit with a Bimmer front end conversion. Unfortunately people will still buy it because it has Bimmer badges on it. SMH.

Yup "Sales prospects for the Gran Tourer are uncertain. Demand for small minivans is shrinking in Europe -- the main market -- as buyers looking for space opt for sport-utility vehicles which project “a bit of roughness and toughness,” according to IHS’s Urquhart.

The research company is forecasting that the European compact-minivan market will fall 15 percent from last year to about 766,000 vehicles in 2020. In contrast, compact-SUV sales are set to gain by almost one-third to 2.06 million autos."

Interesting, I suppose being so caught up in growing my own family, I did not pay attention to Europe's dwindling minivan demands.
Though as I mentioned, I'm more excited of the doors this type of vehicle opens. You know as well as I, this isn't the first, nor the last development, and will not take long for other brands to follow suit.

Boy. BMW sure are good at creating very similar products and milking them for all they are worth.

How is that car all that different form an X1? I don't have a problem with either vehicle; I just don't see the point of both existing in one maker's lineup. BMW's wide array of models is great, but they at the lower end of the price spectrum, I wonder if a BMW is really what a budget conscious and "space needing" consumer is really going to choose?

All the best.

What a load of rubbish..utterly ugly too. And what's with the twin exhaust pipes?

BMW got too lazy with the rear..they just copied the Vauxhall Zafira:

Utterly disgusting and totally derivative.

Giving it EBII is a slap in the face for any normal M Sport owner as well.

Yes. The demand RoW for the X-cars keeps the Greer, SC Assembly Plant humming all year around.

I've been browsing these forums almost daily for about a year now. Never had a need for an account to post with until now. Great website filled with knowledgeable people and humorous banter. However...

My motivation to sign up: To comment on how disgusting this 2 series gran tourer thing is.

Can we have a 1 series hatchback stateside now, please? Thanks.

That looks terrible. It's a freaking BMW minivan. BMW is definitely trying to appeal to the masses and not to the enthusiasts.
