More expensive...but worth 3 Dinan points!

Can't really tell the difference between the two. I guess Dinan sounds a little deeper and slightly less pop.

I like how it sounds, though it's quite a bit difference than the M Performance Exhaust in my opinion. The Dinan has virutally no crackle/pop like the MPE and also sounds deeper while the MPE sounds more raspy.

Not a lot different from the MPE muffler I have now. The internal resonator is different but the overall volume of sound is fairly close. As far as black tips go I have my factory M235i tips on the MPE muffler and look pretty darn good. Dinan is selling the muffler for $1800 plus tax (and maybe installation additional) whereas I got the MPE muffler for $650 total and installed it myself in the driveway in 20 minutes.

I did put the rear on car ramps, but that was just to make the job easier. If you are under say 160 lbs you could probably slide up under and do the work though. When you cut the pipe just mark it a couple centimeters shorter then the new muffler extended connection piece. Worst case you will have to do a second finishing cut that takes about 25 seconds with a reciprocating saw.

I had mpe on my f30 335 and then switch to dinan and there is a pretty big difference as dinan is a little louder quite a bit deeper and a ton more pops and burbles when you let off the gas.
