Big fail on several fronts. Why limit the color choices on the M235 to mostly just bland colors? You can't even get it in jet black? Would have loved to have seen VO offered or some bolder colors instead of just various shades of white, black, and grey, with one red and blue to boot.

The odd part is not that it's not available on m-sport or m235 but that it's only available on standard/sport/modern. Doesn't make any sense.

I'd like to see what a mineral gray looks like with fox red interior.

That would be really sad if a VO M235i spanked a VO 1M... so I see the logic

But yeah... VO should be offered just like EBII

But it gives a treat to those that can only justify the non M235I/Mpaket car

Would love Mineral White with fox red but as that won't happen MW with Terra wouldn't be too bad.

BMW's color selection or lack thereof is a mystery. I couldn't get my M-Sport in dark blue. Now you can't get M-sport in but a handful of colors; and saddle brown interior? Not possible. I can only surmise it's a function of manufacturing costs, but I would like a bit more freedom in my selection of a 1/2/3/4 series that can push 50 or even 60K plus.

They did the same thing with X1 MSport when it came out in 2013. Only 5 color options and I wanted Glacier Silver and it wasn't available so I went with Mineral White which I love. They sell a hell of a lot more X1's than they will sell of the 2 series so it's definitely volume related to hold down costs.

They're saving it for the M2. They want the M2 to completely differ from the 2 series M-sport. I just don't get why they would even have it as an option for the non-Msport models. Just to let ppl know the color is still there and the M2 is coming?

Hmm VO is looking to be the best choice. You then buy all the perf bumpers and an actual serious suspension
Only issue is seats and pretty interior

it's really a shame that for the m235i they have less color options a midnight (or a really dark blue) with those gunmetal wheels would look soo sexy, VO is a really unique and nice color but not really for me...why would the high end models have less color options than the base models makes no sense

The X1 has not done as well in the U.S., and the 2 series will sell like crazy worldwide. As an X1 owner, its almost laughable how few X1's I see in a week or even a month. And I live in Los Angeles. The 3 coupe was too expensive and the 1 coupe was too small (and too expensive). The 2 won't be cheaper, but will be "just right".

I wish BMW bring some new colors, I know a bimmer just by seeing the colors. BMW used to be well known for the diversity, now is getting blunt.
They should offer more colors and different nuances that will fit car personality and give the liberty of picking what you want.
I am getting sick of wanting Valencia Orange but not getting that engine or those seats.
BMW should bring more colors not keep the same for years. And it is so easy to play with some colors and bring some cool new ones.

It is getting annoying...

No imagination?
