It's so cold I feel bad driving my car. My transmission sounds like I'm snapping something with every shift. The power steering sounds like unlubricated grinding gears.....

lol? Yes, my electronic power steering rack sounds like a hydraulic one without fluid. Ever hear a steering rack run dry?

I had an e39 and e46.. I know the sound lol. But there shouldn't be any sound coming from yours.. there's nothing really that would make a sound?

I live in a colder climate than you and I have no issues with my transmission either. 3rd is the only one that gives me a little issue when cold.

Don't you live in PA? I don't have any issues going into gear except for 3rd either. I'm just saying every shift seems louder and more notchy when it's cold. I'd say any car would behave similarly. My VW was probably even worse. It still feels like it's bad for the car, regardless.

Yeah, I do. Wilkes-Barre area.. so it's a decent bit colder here than philly area.

I thought you were having actual issues rather than normal cold clunkiness.
