MyBMW shows wrong exterior color (pre-production)

Is this normal ? I ordered Glacier Silver Metallic, but MyBMW currently shows Alpine White (right from the beginning, when I added the vehicle yesterday) ... note, the car is in pre-production, in the "Order Documented" stage.

I asked the dealership about this and they told me it will get updated as it gets to the paint shop stage.

Can anyone confirm this is true ? Or should I be concerned and press the dealership harder ?

I would hate to wait 3 months and get the wrong color, just because I sat on my ass and didn't do anything about it.

They all say Alpine White in pre production. All of your details should update. I freaked out when I saw mine too. It's normal.

I had heard this before, but mine showed up in Estoril Blue from the start. I ordered at almost the same time as you on 1/7, so we should be pretty close on the production line.

Mine showed up as Alpine White too, it JUST (maybe last week) started showing up as Black Sapphire Metallic.

How long does it take to go into phase 2, "Production Begins"? I ordered mine a long time ago (11/24). Still doesn't show it being in production.

BTW, my dealer has exactly one M235i on the lot - an Estoril Blue w/ Tech + Premium pkg ... if you get tired of waiting on Bavaria, I can hook you up

I think the reason yours started off slow is probably the holiday season. Seems like a reasonable guess. I guess the Bavarians take the holidays seriously

Did you call the 1-800 number ? I've heard that that gives you more updated information. It is readily available on other (recent) threads here.

I'd never find my order on a dealer lot (see the sig). I'll have to wait patiently.

OK, impatiently. I'm calling the 800 number twice a day, just in case it gets updated.

same thing happened to me , it showed Estroil Blue X drive coupe , and my order was for a glacier silver RWD , just wait a few days delete the car from your page and re add it again ,thats what I did and it showed up as it was suppose to be! don't stress!! and good luck the wait can seem never ending at times!

My production started 2 days after ordering and I took delivery 8 weeks after, but if thanksgiving and some bad weather didn't get in the way it would have only been 6-7 weeks, I Also missed a ship leaving by 1 day and had to wait 6 more till the next one came, And that ship showed up at the US 2 days late! If everything goes perfect 5 weeks is possible , but 7 weeks is more likely! I will say It was worth every minute of waiting, Truly amazing car over all! you are gonna love it

It's good to know that 7-8 weeks is the likely wait time. The dealers told me, "to be safe", 12 weeks, but I guess it will likely be shorter.

I agree with you ... I know that the car is going to be worth every minute of waiting ! Can hardly wait !!!

Hey, question ... how many miles did your car have on it when you took delivery ? They told me it will have about 10 miles coz they need to do a pre-delivery inspection and test drive, which makes sense. But, after all that waiting, I would hate for it to have 50 or a 100 miles on it.

and yeah that is correct , I noticed mine had exactly 10 miles on it when I first started it up, I never asked just assumed they moved it around at both ports, VDC and the dealer itself.

It just changed back to EB 30 minutes ago.

This seems to be normal. Mine is still in the "order" stage and it says X-Drive. When I initially registered the production number into my account and saw that, I freaked out. I called my CA immediately and he said that is normal and the true order/config will be reflected once it goes into production.

Update, guys: MyBMW now shows the CORRECT color !!!

I removed and re-added the car, like someone here suggested. And it now shows as Glacier Silver Metallic, finally !!!
