I expected a bigger gap with the P1 on the Trofeo Rs.

Chris Harris has a video comparing the Trofeo R with the Sport Cup 2 and there was a 1.8 second difference per lap on a 2 minute lap.

The 918 crashed in Malta ? U all know that story ?

But seriously is one of those cars really better then the other ? Different tracks different outcomes ?

So the p1 had the best tires. Had the 918 also had trofeo R tires it would have been fastest. Just shows the 918 is still the car to beat.

Result = All three cars are insane. A great driver in any of those cars would beat a good driver in either of the other cars. Track and tire conditions also could swing the race from one car to another.

Mat Jackson is also a development driver for McLaren. He probably knows the P1 a lot better than the other two.

Was just going to say something similar. Even the same driver in all three cars could yield varying results depending on which car is most compatible with their driving style. Looking at the times, I'd call it a tie. I'd love to see a video overlay of the three to show just how similar they all perform.

Love how you just look over the fact the LaFerrari had the worst tires, in worse conditions than 918.... U get the point..

Perhaps but remember the Aventador SV lapped the ring in under 7 min using Pirelli Corsas, those tires are no joke. By far the biggest loser is the P1, best tires and home court advantage with Mclaren driver

Out of the 3 tires used, they are the slowest one.

P1 was 1.4 seconds faster at Anglesey on the Trofeo R as opposed to the Corsa, on a lap slightly over 1 minute.

Chris Harris lapped a GT3 2 seconds faster with the Trofeo R as opposed to the Pilot Sport cup 2, on a 2 minute lap.

It's all speculation, without a proper test, there's no way of knowing how the other two would benefit from the Trofeo.
