My M235i Back Home

I just took re-delivery of my M235i back in the US. We were able to enjoy the car for two weeks in Europe (full writeup) and it is now ready to serve as my daily driver.

The first mods will be remote license plate bracket, black kidney grills, black all-season floor mats, and possibly black mirror caps.

I like the black kidney grills and have the same wheels. The black goes well with my Estoril.

Any thoughts on whether or not I should replace the mirror caps or leave them stock?

Beautiful car. I have MG over Terra. I've debated myself on weather or not to do something with the mirror caps. At this point they don't bother me enough to warrant a change. I say keep them for now.

Yes they are. I was concerned how they would look against the black paint, but I believe it blends in nicely.

That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the plates. I should have asked if the had vanity tourist plates.

I'm not a big fan of black cars/blacked out cars, but this looks amazing.

I agree it does blend nicely. Your car looks really good, congrats. I have the orbit grey wheels and looking at your car makes me look forward to putting them back on for the fall.

I love mine, my car is the same color as yours.

What were you thinking about changing them to?

Garage List
I recently saw two black BSM in my area (Markham, Ontario) and they sure do look nice. Only issue is the need to constantly clean it to keep it looking nice.

Thanks for the kind words. I was thinking of changing the mirror covers to gloss black to match the rest of the car. However, I am not sure. The black kidney grills have been ordered so I should have them one the car by next week.

Black cars are hard to keep clean (not my first black car) and mine is already in need of a bath. Cars and coffee is this Saturday, so it has to look good.

Definitely change the mirror color. One of, if not, my favorite change. I cannot stand the grey covers on the black car.

I got a pair of painted BSM OEM covers from IND.

I agree the silver mirrors just don't work, and the more you black out the rest, I think the worse it'll be. That said, I also don't think it's the best use of money, there are probably other things you could do, but if you were on the fence, my vote is change 'em.

Then again my previous cars, MINI coopers, always had contrasting mirrors. I had a Chili Red car with black mirror caps, and on a black car I put red mirror caps.
