Some ED questions...

Has anyone taken their new ED BMW and run it on the 'ring? I've driven 50 laps on the Nordschleife in rented track cars and I'm tempted to do ED on a 228i THP and run it on the 'ring. My question is, is it insane to try to complete the entire 1200-1500 mile break-in period in Europe and then finish the trip with a few days at the 'ring?

Can anyone point me at a site that provides ED invoice pricing for 2015 BMWs?

How much flexibility do you have scheduling delivery? I would be trying to coordinate this with a business trip.

Thanks!

I'm flying to Paris in a couple of weeks for four days. I pick up my M235i on the 8th and then travel through Europe (Rothenburg o.d.t., Prague, Berlin) before spending a night at the Dorint Am Nürburgring Hocheifel and doing a few laps on the Nordschleife. Then it's up to Amsterdam for drop off and a few days there with a day trip via train to Bruges. Finally fly into Finland with a 22 hour layover before heading home to LA.

I calculated conservatively something like 1000 miles of A roads before I reach the 'Ring, but I'm sure I'll be taking more than a handful of B roads along the way and side trip excursions that will put me over the 1200 mile break-in. I am doing this over 18 days though, but much of that time is spent not driving at all.

It is not crazy at all. Scheduling is pretty flexible as long as you are scheduling in advance. I got a Saturday morning delivery on the date I requested with no trouble at all. In a week I had over 1000 miles and that was with not too much driving but the ring wasn't in the cards this time around. Of course I didn't care about a break in more than 100 miles before I was at triple digits the rest of the time.

I did ED and drove on the ring with my M235i, nothing wrong with that.

thanks for this. the track pack invoice seems high. and no track pack invoice when paired to sport/msport. at $1600 MSRP, I would think invoice would be $1455!

ZTR is $2000 alone, $1455 in combination with ZMM (M Sport) or ZSL (Sportline)
