Taillight stays on

I have an M240i with GTS style headlights which I’ve coded to have daylight time running lights but for some reason on the left light there’s a white light that stays on and I’ve coded the car back to normal but that light stays on can someone help me solve that so I can turn it off or if there’s something else I can do

The white light is a reverse light. Both sides should light only in reverse gear. I'm more inclined to say hardware problem than coding. If you have the originals you could plug them back in and see if it goes away, that would tell you one or the other.
