As much as I love rowing the gears in the m235i. Nothing is like riding out on a cool day.

I had a Duke II for a couple of years in the early 2000s. The single most fun bike I've ever ridden. Anything KTM makes is an absolute beast! I don't ride now (thank a deteriorating left knee for that ... old soccer injury), but from 1998 up until about 2007 I owned a series of bikes that included: Kawasaki Ninja 600 (in retrospect ... blech) Suzuki SV650 (modified as a streetfighter) Triumph Speed Triple Aprilia SL1000 Falco (Basically a Mille with a half fairing and more sane riding position ... far better than any Ducati of the time) The aforementioned KTM (co-owned with a fiance of the time.) another SV650 (track bike) Honda Interceptor (Hence the screen name). Though I miss riding -- I commuted to work in DFW whenever I could on a bike, as well as took a number of intra-state road trips -- I still have my head, and I'm happy for that. A few people I knew, well, don't; part of the reason I gave it up.

I (err, we ... I rode it about 10 times as much as she did, lol) had this, right down to the color. Even with some of the other supermotard production bikes that have come out since, I still consider the Duke II to be the perfect urban bike (and the only one I could do a stoppie with on demand). If I ever rode in the city again, I'd get another one of these!

A couple of shot of my Thruxton. Only did a few mods to it but nothing too crazy.
