I had the same impression with the MPE , Too quiet !. I had the exhaust installed at the port so I didn't hear it before but I had to crawl underneath and check part numbers. Just didn't sound "Performance"

question for those with the MPE. I've pondering this exhaust as early as next week and I'm unsold on purchasing the new tips right now. The "stock" OEM Black tips I see are installed here. Were these custom installed? Do they connect on the MPE the same way they connect on the stock muffler. I'm just wondering as to in the future, I will probably purchase the CF Tips and want to make sure I can remove the stock black ones off of the MPE with ease.

Thanks!

They slide on with "clips" from what I've seen. Just have to be careful pulling them off since the clips need to be intact to put them back on

Here is a tip to take note of. Remove the oem tips from stock exhaust BEFORE you cut it off.

These clips are already on the car on the stock exhaust?

I'm going to have the dealer install. Is this something I should ask them to do? Why do you recommend this idea if they are just clipped on to the stock muffler?

Why? Because I know through experience. They don't just pull off, they need beaten off. That said, it's easier to do while mounted to the car. I did mine myself, maybe your dealership has some tricks up their sleeves. If the dealer is doing it for you, I'd let them do their thing as I'm sure they've done hundreds of them.

Yes, they do. If you look at the inside in the pic I posted there is a wavy piece of metal that grabs the muffler outlet. Once they're off, I had to do a little creative "tweaking" to those metal tabs. All good in the end. BTW, I did reuse the stock tips (at this time). If I had access to a car lift, I could do it again in 30 minutes.

I'm not excited about this part at all.
