You go to Dan at Diffsonline? That's where I got mine from. Best upgrade I ever did to the car.

Quaife will require no rebuild and less gear oil changes over time. Nothing wrong with the M Performance version, just change the gear oil often and rebuild as needed.

There's no practical way for the average DIY'er to rebuild the M Performance LSD.

No, likely BMW does not either as everything is replaced as a complete unit these days.

Wavetrac is another option for those out there. Probably what I will go with once it's time.

Anyone here "worn out" a BMW clutch based LSD before in normal non-track usage?

Yes, it is. A very good option.

Quaife is now $1895 just for the LSD itself, that is a $400 price increase from a year ago. For $100 more you have yourself a complete Wavetrac FD.

Wavetrac is $1295 retail and complete units starts at $1995.

Am I the only one who can't read the name Quaife without thinking of the expulsion of air from ladyparts?

I always tell my GF, inside every grown man is a 12 year old boy just dying to get out.

Quaife happens to be the last name of the founder.

I know. But that doesn't keep it from tickling that juvenile sense of humor barely concealed beneath a veneer of maturity and civility.

I have one of those, it's pretty sweet. The Quaife one was just out of my budget, and I couldn't find a functional difference between them, so instead of saving more pennies I just ordered the Wavetrac one from HP Autosport.
