n00b question: How do you disconnect center speaker?

I can get the grill off and i've unscrewed the speaker. The connector won't freaking pop out though. I've tried squeezing it every which way like I'm popping a zit. Not budging. Please help!

(I exaggerate for effect )

It's been a while since I did mine but I think there may be a small release tab on the connector. If you find it, try using a tiny screwdriver (like an eyeglass screwdriver) to depress it while you pull the connector off. I think I may have also used needle-nose pliers.

Ah, okay. I'll try poking it with my eye glass screwdriver or something. Thanks!

Or, just pull. Hard. The harnesses are pretty stout.

The release tab is on the bottom nearest the speaker magnet. May be hard to reach with a thin enough tool in that tight space between speaker and windshield, particularly since the wire loom has very little slack (something like 2-3 inches, I remember noting). In that case, pull!
