True?
I'd find another CA. I've never heard that before.

He definitely wasn't at his most convincing when he said this, maybe it was the nose growing that tipped me off!

Thanks, this is what I thought as well.

Yeah, that's my plan. Figured I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and check with you fine people first, though. Thanks much!

So if you find an ultimate drive event and attend, I understand they give you a $1000 credit. Can you use that credit at any dealer on a 2 series.

True?
If he knows they're all out of allocations for the next few months then that might be true.

Yes, the credit gets registered with BMW NA. You have to be sure that you take the questionnaire at the end of the drive event. The information you give them will be used to register your drive even credit with BMW NA, so make sure it's accurate. When you go to a dealer, mention the credit, and they can look it up.

That makes sense. But they definitely have allocations. Weird.

I was scheduled to do ED on Mid April and the contract started from beginning of April. Since the car had issue (electrical) I didn't pickup the car and refused to take delivery.

I was trying to take advantage of this options credit as I didn't technically taken delivery. But dealer says contract cannot be redone. Bmwfs says it can be done. What do you guys think?

If BMW FS says it can be done, I'd lean on the dealer pretty hard.

Your ED was interrupted due to the vehicle being DOA and your dealer is giving you a hard time about $1000? I would light a freaking match to someone's a$$. Get a BMWNA customer relations rep to bat for you on this. It's the least they could do...

Well if you doing ED in April, you usually sign the paper work before you go Germany for ED so you own the car before you leave for the trip,. Since the Deal is in May, I don't think you can get the $1000 credit. The car being DOA is just a warranty repair like you bring it in service.

However if you leave in Mid May for ED, you probably didn't sign paper work yet so they should be able to adjust it.

Paper work I mean finance lease agreement.

All that is true except that he didn't take delivery of the vehicle so he may have a claim there with BMWFS and BMWNA. They may do it as a special case goodwill gesture since it did put a bit of a damper on the european delivery, even though they did provide an alternate car to drive.

In any other ordinary situation everything you said was true though. If you signed paperwork in April for an April delivery, you would have no claim to that credit.

This is exactly what I felt.
Thanks.
