Yes, it was the same laptop. After trying for a while and getting No ZGW, we moved over to my car and it was able to connect right away. Went back to his, nothing. It was frustrating.

E-Sys 3.23.4
PSdZData v.53.4 (lite)

At least I finally got to get my car on the highway

I just ordered the cord you suggest @jgunnz, so hopefully that will help!

Thanks @Pikcachu and @shawnsheridan for helping us through this minor glitch! I know we'll get it worked out somehow.

Anyone played around with changing the ambiance lighting from sport to luxury, modern, or urban? Curious as to what those colors would be. . .

Has there been any updates to the cheat sheet since its date (6-12-14) in the name?

Curious if this a real world change on the F22 cars. Not able to hook up and test myself.

You can code it to a different trim line in HU_NBT 3000, don't remember the exact name of the setting. But sport is one of four options for the 'other' color (in addition to classic).

So does the coding to disable ASD work? If so, what is it? I'm having a hard time opening up the excel spreadsheet on this work browser.

Re: Active sound disabling

Ok, so I coded F20/F21 in lieu of the default value, F022. While the ASD seemed to have changed, it did not go off. It was not as prevalent but there was an obvious droning sound being piped in WHILE braking, it was quite strange.

If you scroll up a bit while in that module you will see all of the models that ASD works for are listed as a function, e.g. F22 true(), etc... So what I then did was code my module to be F003, a random model that ASD did not support and now I can truly say that ASD is off. It really sounds exactly like comfort inside the car when I switch up to Sport (though because the throttle mapping switches, the car lurches forward a bit at a constraint RPM making more noise). The sound is more raw and what I was after. I found that the ASD does not scale well with aftermarket exhaust setups, particularly the downpipe. There would be a noticeable dull drone in a certain RPM range that is now gone!

I would love for someone else to try what I did.. that is code F20/F21 and notice how it sounds under braking and decelerating and then code F003 and tell us what you think!

In the end, if you want to disable ASD via coding I suggest:

ASD 3000 Model Range FROM: F022 TO: F003

**Nervous**

I finally have everything I need to code my car (expect the token, just waiting for it to arrive).

Is there a way to know what changes can be made without a token?

you will need the token to use the editor or viewer for the FDLs

but you can use the NCD cafd tool http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=749668

Thanks!!! My token just arrived so I can go all out!

I did my first coding today (no token required)!!! I probably shouldn't be this excited but I am lol. I was able to active Enhanced Bluetooth/Office and get the text messaging function to work!! I am not able to respond via voice activation, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Thank you @Jgunnz @Pikcachu, and @Shawnsheridan for putting up with my silly questions, but I know they're be more lol.

nice... ya you don't need token for VO coding but it's limited the stuff you can do... you can try VLD and anti dazzle high beam though with removing 8S4 and 5AC

I've done some searching and can't find an answer:

On my f22 I previously coded my car (factory i-step f020-14-07-503) with psdzdata 53.4.

I was just updated to f020-14-07-505 by the dealer.

Do I need a newer psdzdata before I code again?

I read somewhere that I might not, however, the updated code fixed an issue I was having and I don't want to use older data if it might bring the problem back.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Your car now has 53.5 on it. Your 53.4 PSdZdata though may still work. You will only need to update to 53.5 PSdZData if you can't read all ECU's anymore, and get a [C012] Missing CAFD error.

damn you are fast! So if I can "read all coding data" without errors I'm good to go and won't be coding older data onto the car?
