Not that is matters, is this the dealership where you purchased a car?

Call your sales person and tell them to get you a car. I can't get one even when I book one, they got me an Enterprise with 2 weeks notice so some dealers suck. Your sales guy should help out or Nicely tell him you won't be back which sounds like you might not go back anyway.

Pace/Greenwich BMW. They are horrendous. Were actually just sold to Penske Automotive.

Think I'm going to rent an f30 from an Avis and just give BMW the bill.

I'm sorry to hear about your losses man.... That's very disappointing because ZF 8HP is very popular among the manufactures and is supposedly very reliable. I actually prefer the 8HP over a dual clutch in the M235i. Although 8 speeds is a tad too many on the race track in my opinion.

Did your M235i stop because of a transmission failure too?

If that's the case, is it ZF's fault for making unreliable transmissions? Or is it BMW's fault for using unreliable transmissions? Or was it BMW's software that caused the malfunction? Nevertheless, I think your BMW dealership/BMWNA should have been more accommodating to you. I hope your car gets back up and running soon.

Lack of a loaner for a warranty repair at 800 miles is unreasonable. They should be renting a car for you if they do not have one on hand. I'm actually surprised that they are unwilling to find you a replacement car. Even if you went off the handle like a total ass when you brought your car in for repair (and I'm not saying you did) they should be working to make this as easy on you as possible.

It sucks that the car is being repaired, but that is what a warranty is for. S*&t happens, and it sucks when it happens to you. Even so, the service department and sales associate didn't break the car so I'm 100% with BEM-S4 that people will get much farther along being nice to the service advisor. If this does become an issue (and it shouldn't) that needs to be elevated to a higher level, they are the one who will be your advocate. If you are a reasonable person and they like you, they will be more strongly on your side and will lobby harder with BMWNA to resolve things in your favor.

+1. My brother had a Panamera Turbo loaner off the used lot for 6 months, free of charge, when he was in between a C4S coupe and Convertible. If that isn't a problem, finding you a 335 to drive for a few days should really not be an issue.

I actually inquired about getting a pre owned car and was told that "it wasn't possible."

Heading down to the service station now via taxi to see what the deal is.

Yep. I'm pretty furious.

They were trying to bill me 600 for wear and tear on my e90 that I gave back due to low tire tread.

They agreed to wave the charges after I explained my situation.

I'm irritated beyond the point of having an attitude/ being abrasive with BMW employees.

They know I'm not happy. Don't have the energy to make a scene.

That's unfortunate, but no need to jump the high horses yet. Contact the dealer, my bet is that they will make you whole with a loaner and fix the issue quickly and without hassle. If they don't, then you will be entitled to the amount of outrage that you are already showing.

Not an issue. What does help is either having or building a good relationship with the dealer. They don't want to miss out on sales down the road. It's like anything else that's a relationship / service business. Also helps if you're a public figure. Don't mean famous, but consider a physician in same town as dealer who talks to 50 potential customers every day.

The Service Managers don't have to make the customer happy but the Sales guys do since they know you won't buy another car from them. Best chance is to work your way up from salesperson, sales manager and then GM.

Heck, my sister-in-law had a Honda minivan loaner off the used lot for two months when they replaced her blown Odyssey engine under warranty. If Honda can do it, I would expect BMW to do it. Granted, they didn't really want to give it to her, but she politely informed them she didn't have any way to leave the dealership and sat in the service office until they relented. I think it took 2 hours for them to get her the loaner.

I can understand the frustration, I would be irritated also but the world is an imperfect place and while this should not have happened it isn't enough to ruin your whole ownership experience. When I first bought my 06 330i I had to take it in three times for them to find a wheel bearing issue, I was really irritated but that was 150,000 mostly trouble free miles ago so all things considered it wasn't the worst thing in the world. Hang in there

Please keep us advised. If the dealer doesn't respond with some kind of loaner call BMW NA. you have bought 2 BMW's recently and how many in the past?

I have a manual coming next week, I hope this isn't a mass issue... I've never seen a warning saying let clutch cool.
