Hill Hold Assist..

Hi I tried search but no result.

I think I read the 2 series has hill hold assist, anyone know how long this holds for 1-2 seconds or something? I'm familiar with this on Auto BMWs before is this on the manual 6MT as well?

PS my clutch control is usually fine but it's nice to know

It's a strange one. You take it for granted once you get used to it. it's not until you drive a car without HH that you appreciate it.

I still don't get why it's only a few seconds - I can leave my Benz on the hill and it will just sit there until I decide to use the pedals. Good to know!

really? my 2010 c300 only holds for a few seconds. Is it a new feature in more recent models?

I parallel park on a hill every day and I find myself sitting and waiting for it to let me roll back into my spot. It was a surprise to me to find it on this car, and I could really take it or leave it. My left foot is calibrated just fine.

It's Adaptive Brake and HOLD I'm sure it works...it's a 2005 C230.

"The HOLD function is activated when the driver steps briefly on the brake again while the vehicle is stationary."

Never tried this before and can't think of a situation where I'd step "briefly on the brake again while the vehicle is stationary."
