Did you name your car?
My wife asked me the other day if my new M235i had a name. It doesn't. But it got me wondering, do other people name their cars? If so, what did you name yours? If you get a new car, does it get a new name or carry on the previous name?

I always thought it was weird to name anything except a boat but I do refer to my car as a her.

My 228 is Zelda. Lots of different possibilities for the meaning...from German it would mean "battle" or "woman warrior", from Old English it could mean "companion", and from Yiddish it would be "happiness". At different times all of those could be applicable, and I really just like the name. I had never named a car before, because I didn't think my previous rides deserved one.

My wife named my car, "Deep Throat."
Referring to the exhaust noise, of course.

I haven't named a car in a while, but the plate on my 235 reads MADDD, which is my initials, followed by my wife's. We are thinking of using MADDD2 for her X3 but have not quite been able to justify spending silly money twice.

Sophisticated Blu. A play on a famous jazz player (Sophisticated Lou Donaldson) and the fact that the 228i displays a sense of sophistication in its handling and speed rather than showing brute power.
