Keep trying to get the landlord involved. If they won't lift a finger, threaten a complaint to the state board. Why? Because the spaces are assigned, the property owners are partially responsible because it's them, not her, who are forcing you to have to park next to a destructive tenant. Look at it this way: if she broke rules when living in the unit next to you -- loud music/police complaints, improper unit modifications, unit damage, etc., she'd be warned, then evicted from that unit. This is the SAME THING.

Keep documenting with pics. Again: she's 'renting' her space, so if she violates that space and causing damage to others' property, she's liable under the terms of her rental agreement -- especially in Cali, where renters' rights are among the least strong vs. landlords. If they don't budge, get your insurance involved -- I guarantee they will track this person down and make her coverage pay -- and also file a landlord complaint with the state.
No response from property management.
Since I have long work hours during the week, my only chance to talk to the property management team would be today. I'll stop the leasing office later and ask if they received my email.

In terms of insurance, were you referring to renters insurance or auto?

I like to hide up in these pole spots for the extra 3 feet of width but this lovely coworker loves to squeeze me. The perspective is bad, but he's even closer in the rear. Not assigned spots, but he's done it 4-5 times.
What do you expect, he's from New Joisey.

It's funny you mention the trucks - I also have a bone to pick with two guys with matching long cab pickups that each back into spots across from each other RIGHT on the turn to head up to level 2. It makes things narrow when making the cut up.

Auto. I don't think renter's insurance would fall under this ... but that said, it certainly wouldn't hurt to ask. After all, many basic renter's policies cover things like off-site storage and incidental damages caused by neighbor negligence. I'm certain this has come up before as a renter's issue.

You are way way too nice with her by thanking her for the ding.
You are basically encourage her to continuing doing harm to society, possibly resulted a few Ferrari owners' suicide from her dings.

This creature should have her license revoked and sent to a Germany-spec driving test in order to re-earn her license.

My neighbor put 11 dings in my EOS. I confronted them when I brought home my BMW and told them directly that I had a camera watching the parking space and if they dinged my car, I would sue them for damages! Haven't had an issue since.

Just don't be passive-aggressive...confront the issue!

Nothing sadistic. Maybe just flipping the windshield wipers inside out. Or, hyper extending mirrors that can be hyperextended.

Happened to me 3 times, since we have unassigned parking I had to catch those bastards )) 1st was door ding, I left a mean note on her car "don't park like this ever again", 2nd I happened to look out the window when she hit my car, confronted the person and we settled for $300 bucks (she was nice and boyfriend didn't want any issues), 3rd funny but also looked out the window when car hit me, was raining so I couldn't get the plate # this time

Exactly. I try my best to not attract attention.
They'll probably pull them down and let them smack my car.

Forgot to mention, on Friday night when we got back from dinner I saw both cars were back and she obviously saw my neon green post-it note on my car. I got out my iPhone and turned on the LED light. I noticed more finger prints around the area so they were probably inspecting the damage.

The property management called me today and told me they got in touch with them and that the tenants apologized for their parking. I asked if they were aware of the damages they caused, but of course, they were very careful with their responses and they said they could not disclose that information. The property management team said they will be looking into finding us a new spot. I expressed to the property management team why inconvenience us more? Why not move them instead? But they said it would be the same thing.
