Must be the record for the longest period between BMW purchases? Owned lots of German cars over the years, mostly Porsche's and Mercedes. I'm really enjoying getting back into this baby bimmer at my advanced age!

1- 1975 520i that I picked up in 1982 while in the Army in Germany. Would not start when it was cold out and finally punched a connecting rod through the side of the block at about 150 KPH on the autobahn.

The M235i that I'm picking up at the Welt in 2 weeks will be my first BMW and first MT car! I'll finally be retiring the only car that I've ever owned (~13 years): a 2001 Maxima SE.
