Thumbs up New owner, first BMW

Hi everyone, I picked up my first BMW yesterday, a 2016 M235i. I'm coming from a 2013 Lexus IS250, so the increase in power output of the BMW is just amazing. This is what I ended up getting:

2016 M235i
Mineral Gray / Black
Tech package
Driver Assist package
Driver Assist Plus package
Cold Weather package
HK Audio
Enhanced usb

Found this car on the lot at Performance BMW here in NC. It's basically loaded, which is great, because I find most of the features useful in one way or another. That, and I have a terrible history of skimping out on a feature and regretting it later. That usually means I end up trading in the car for something else. Hopefully that won't happen with this one or I'm pretty sure my wife will kill me.

Right now I'm trying to figure out what floor mats to put in. I like to go with a nice rubber, heavy duty mat. The car came with a trunk liner outlined in red. Not sure if I want to go with red again on the interior or just get the mats with black on black.

edit - added picture. Sorry for the quality, I'm not much of a photographer.

Go back to your dealer. The car should have come with BMW floor mats.

Sorry, I wasn't clear in my post. It came with the regular carpet floor mats. Its not that it doesn't have any, it's that I like to replace them with some nice all weather mats that won't show wear as bad as a normal carpet mat.

Keep the carpeted mats for summer and rubber mats for winter. Congrats and post some pics.

Buy WeatherTec rubber mats. I have them in my X3 for winter use. They are laser cut according to vehicle and fit perfectly. Got a cargo mat as well. Good luck with the new ride.

+1 I believe WeatherTech calls these "Floor Liners". Have a set in my winter Subaru, our Jeep, and my wife likes them so much, she put them in her A6, so not just for "rugged" environments....just protects better than anything else!

I typically keep the rubber mats in the car all year long. A while back, before I had rubber mats in one of my older cars, I had a gallon of milk tip over after a trip to the grocery store. The lid leaked and the milk got absorbed into the mat. In North Carolina having milk on the carpet is not a good thing. I'll take a look at the weathertech stuff to see what they have. Thanks for all the input.

I second the WeatherTech mats. Made in the USA and they are the best. Not worth skimping on something that gets used every time you set foot in the car.

I got em in my Jeep too. Great when riding on the beach and surf fishing. Remove and shake out sand, rinse off salt water.

Added a picture to my original post. Sorry for the lame iPad quality. Washed, clayed, and waxed it yesterday. She's been hanging out in the garage ever since.
