I don't know if this has been posted before, but the AC Schnitzer tune is now available and the information on it is contained within the e-mail and attachment I received from them today.

Hello,

First of all we would like to thank you for your message and your interests in AC Schnitzer.

We do offer already a performance upgrade for the M235i which brings the performance up to 380hp and 530nm torque.

The VMAX remains the same but we could optimize the figures e.g. 80 – 180km/h from 12,2 s to 10,3 s !

Even at current conversion rates, that price is a joke for a tune. Even Dinan isn't that ridiculous.

Thats actually pretty good for that kind of torque increase from a reputable tuner. Do we know if its a piggy back module or a flash. It would definitely be easier if we can do the install ourselves. Interested in prices on the exhaust setup as well. Can anyone chime in as to the availability of these items in the US.

Dear XXXX,

it is not necessary to do further modifications to your car. The upgrade works perfectly with a complete stock car. We do offer an intercooler which is recommended for coutries where the summer temperatures are more than 35 – 45 degrees but I did not offer you this intercooler as I think in Canada the temperatures are not that high.

This is good news.

I have in fact only one question: can this performance upgrade be installed in a completely stock car, or does it require the installation of other components such as a de-cat downpipe, charge-pipe, intercooler, etc?

Bimmex in the Toronto area used to be an AC distributor, but no longer. I'm working to find out who the retailers in Canada are now.

For the AC Schnitzer Control Unit you would be looking at $6700.00 installed plus tax. Would take about a couple weeks to get in from AC Schnitzer.

Now I can also get you into a DinanTronics system which would be $2800.00 installed plus tax. I usually have the DinanTronics systems in stock and it would bring the vehicle power to 364 hp & 430 ft/lbs-tq. I have attached a link of Dinans website for you to have a look at the product. Dinan would be the best way to go as they do match BMW warranty. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
