Pictures of my modded M235i and M3
Edit: 1/3/16 - car is up for lease transfer! Loaded and only $498/month. All mods are included for free along with all OEM parts to return to stock!
http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1211483 Edit: 9-20-15 - added a few pictures of new mods after the car was repaired from the crash see page two!! Hey guys, wanted to share a few pictures of our 2015 M235i now that I have gotten most of the mods on. We picked her up back in December and have put on about 7000 miles so far. The car is Alpine White with black dakota leather and aluminum hexagon trim. It has most all options; I believe the only two it doesn't have are drivers assistance 2 and auto high beams. I have to say that I really, really love this car! It is a really great mix of fun, speed, handling, comfort, technology, looks, and value in a perfect size for spirited drives. The N55 is perfect for this car, and it is one of the best feeling and smoothest turbo engines I have driven. Not to mention the great stock sound. I could go on for a long time, but some of my favorite things about the car are the acceleration, exhaust sound and "thunder claps", steering wheel, NBT, brakes, suspension, size and weight, looks...ok I'll stop! It really is a great car and I am thankful that BMW made it as I have been disappointed in a lot of the other new models. Here is a list of mods that are on the car: 1. Gloss black BMW Performance Grills 2. RW Carbon Fiber trunk spoiler (Thank you to my friend UKBasketball for help installing) 3. RW Carbon fiber mirror caps 4. IND painted reflectors 5. VMR V710 18" wheels staggered in silver finish 8.5/9.5 with 225/245 tires 6. Continental Sport Contact 5 tires 7. 20% tint all around 8. Planning on adding IND painted rear reflectors in diffuser grey and gloss black roof wrap I had originally ordered the great PSS tires, but after seeing the eta on delivery continually get pushed back I decided to begin researching other options. I have had quite a few different tires on many different cars including the PSS on several. I have also had the pilot sports, Hankook V12's, and Conti DW summer tires (amongst many other summer and A/S tires) and did not want any of these again. I narrowed it down to the Continental SC5's and the Bridgestone SO4 Pole Positions. I was able to find many good reviews on the Bridgestone's, but couldn't find much on the Continental's as they do not come as many different sizes. What made the decision for me is I found on Tire Rack that the Bridgestone's were actually 4-5 pounds heavier per tire than the Conti's. The PSS is still king, but I must say the Conti's are a very nice tire. I have only put about 400 miles on them so far, but I can say that the grip is fantastic, they are very smooth and quiet, and wet traction is very good as well. I will not hesitate to buy these tires in the future, but would go PSS if available for the simple fact that the Conti's are actually more expensive. Please note that I am coming from the terrible runflats on the M235i, so I am not able to compare the tires back to back. I was planning on having a friend take some higher quality pictures, but since I mounted the wheels last Wednesday my wife has managed to curb two of them, so I wanted to go ahead and document their existence before they are completely destroyed. I have wanted a set of V710's for about five years, and was just waiting on the right car to put them on. I have to say that these wheel are beautiful. The finish and design is perfect to me and really fits the car well. I will also say that Mitch at VMR did an excellent job of helping me with any questions. If he did not answer the phone when I called he returned my call within a few hours. Great service and communication from VMR! RW Carbon was also great to work with. Very great customer service from them. I will use both of these companies again in the future, and have already recommended them to friends. Well, I guess I should go ahead and post the pictures. I appreciate anyone that took the time to read my post. I will add a few pictures of my M3. It is a 2013 model LeMans Blue with Black leather. It has all options except for extended leather. Mods are as follows: 1. 20% Tint 2. IND painted reflectors, side gills, key hole replacement, M3 badge, and hood vents 3. BMW performance black grills 4. LUX V4 5. OEM CF trunk spoiler, mirror caps, and interior trim 6. Muffler delete 7. Coded Last edited by Db750; 01-04-2016 at 12:00 PM.. |

Could someone let me know if the pictures are showing up on the computer. They are showing on my phone on the app, but are not showing on my computer. Not sure if there is a problem or its just my terrible Time Warner Internet.
Any help will be appreciated! EDIT: Got the pictures figured out. I was actually more mad than when my wife curbed the two wheels lol.

I am definitely planning on doing a photoshoot with the pair soon. I have a friend that has a nice camera (he also drives an PY E46 M3) that has offered to help me out. Lexington has a lot of really nice street art that I would like to take pictures with. It's just a matter of finding the time to get together. I really wanted to wait until I could do something better, but I was afraid the wheels would be destroyed before I got the chance lol. Thanks again for the reply! |

Please post pics if/when you do the photoshoot.
I'm waiting to do a little modding on the F80 M3 before I do the photoshoot. It should take another 2 weeks. But will definitively post them here. |

Nice combo! E92 M3 owner here and I'm a huge fan of the M235i. It's easily favorite my BMW at the moment (even a bit more than the F80). If it wasn't for the M2 coming out, there's a high chance I'd have an M235i with 6MT in my garage.
Enjoy the cars!

And yes, please be sure to post up pictures of your cars as well, I would love to see all three of them together! Quote:
Thank you, Mike, really appreciate it. Quote:
I have been keeping up on the M2 news as well, and if it had came out when we needed a car it would be a no brainer. It's been really difficult just waiting on more info and pictures of it! EDIT: Just say in your signature that you are getting a LBB M2! That would definitely be my color of choice; love BMW Blues and LBB is one of the best! Hey Mitch, thank you for the kind words. It was a pleasure doing business with VMR Wheels. Last edited by Db750; 06-22-2015 at 06:11 PM.. |

Wanted to share this. Finally took the M235i out with the new summer tires and tried launch control for the first time. It was a slightly uphill run, the windows and sunroof were open, and I had some wheel spin about half way through first gear. I was very happy to see a 4.6 time! Not bad at all! I did it one more time on more level road, but had wheel spin all the way through first gear and got a 4.7.
This car is a beast! What a great car BMW has made; especially for the price. I think I can least shave .1-.2 seconds off with better roads, windows up, and a more ideal launch. Will try it out soon! Edit: Took it out again tonight. Windows up and less wheel spin= Last edited by Db750; 06-22-2015 at 09:38 PM.. |

I am certainly going to try! My wife probably had about 75 pounds of stuff in the trunk so next time I will remove that and see what else I can do to get it lower. These runs I am doing are of course COMPLETELY STOCK engine, exhaust etc which I think is amazing. The only problem I have is that I have to use launch control to achieve any type of respectable numbers. If I just slam the gas pedal like I do in my M3 there is a ton of turbo lag and it adds about 3/4 a second. That is really one of the only complaints I have about this car. Once the revs are up it pulls hard and has a nice smooth power delivery; especially for a turbo engine. Quote:
I am not sure if you are asking for videos of the vbox run, but if so I am sorry I do not have any. I will probably pick up a gopro pretty soon, but for now all I have video wise of the M235 are a few standing exhaust clips and a couple of the tach accelerating. |

I would curb your wheels as well if you keep this praying thing going. Good on your wife and keep up the great work.

Thank you! Really appreciate it. Haha, hilarious! Actually LOL'd on that one! Probably won't be getting new wheels, but I am thinking about having the powdercoated another color this winter to try and make a positive out of a negative! |
