My new BSM M235i

Tuesday I traded in my 135i for a 2014 m235i that a dealer still had on the lot.

I wont go on to do a full on review of the comparison between the two as there has already been many, but I will say the m235i is far more refined and comfortable for long drives, and the sport mode is great for blasting around town.

I was hesitant to go back to black but I couldn't be happier with my decision, I have detailers OCD so it shouldn't be too hard to maintain for me.

Here is the spec:
Black Sapphire Metallic
Black Dakota Leather
Aluminum Hexagon Trim
Premium Package
Driver assistance Package
Cold Weather Package
Harman Kardon Surround Sound
8ZF Automatic

Mods to date:
Hardwired V1 Radar - DIY HERE
30% Llumar CTX Tint
IND Painted Front Reflectors
BMW Performance Grilles
Lightweight Front Lip
BMS Matte Black Exhaust Tips
JB4
ER Charge Pipe
Miami Performance Inc. 4" Catless Downpipe

Anyway, here are some pics from the day I picked up! Updated pics to come.

Congrats on your new car it looks great! I really think BSM fits the 2 better than most other BMW's.

I'm in the same boat as you; I am looking for a tune, but don't want to lose the great stock feel of the engine. I had the JB4 on an e92 335, and although it did add a lot of power, the car didn't have the same feel as stock. For me the m235 is plenty fast stock, so I will not sacrifice any driveability for more power, but hopefully I will find something that works for me as we all know there is never enough power!

Couple iPhone pictures last night with Performance grilles and IND reflectors installed. Also removed the side M badges as I felt they were a bit much.

30% Tint all around going on this weekend.

Black looks so good! It's just so hard to keep clean without a garage ........... or with one.

The Black Sapphire is actually not too bad to keep clean. Jet black was definitely the hardest colour I have ever owned to maintain.

I do regular paint maintenance which helps, keep it in a garage, as well as only hand wash myself with quality product.

But it's all worth it for the clean look

Some new pictures from a detail this July 4th Weekend. Detail was done inside the A/C garage with halogen lighting, really helps to show the detail.

Products used:
- Adams Deep Wheel Cleaner
- Leave to soak for a few minutes
- Wheel whoolies to disturb the cleaner
- Pressure wash wheels

- Presoak car
- Chemical Guys Maxi Suds wash
- Dry car with leaf blower
- Auto Finesse Iron Out on paint (great to do once a year)
- Pressure washed & rinsed paint
- Uber Yellow clay bar with maxi suds soap
- Rinse paint again
- Fully dry car

- Meguiars NXT 2.0 Wax - hand applied
- Wheel Wax hand applied to Rims

Any questions about the products feel free to ask They are all amazing except I plan to purchase a much nicer high end carnuba wax or sealant for my next detail.
