Dealer Pickup Check Off Sheet

Does anyone have a completed list of things to look over before you accept the car from the dealer? I have the following:

Check Paint for scratches
Check for dents
Check Wheels for curbing
Check interior for rips
Check build sheet with what was ordered
Look at tires for scuffs
Make sure spare key is given

Have any of you asked to take it for a quick drive to make sure everything operates well?

Thanks

First on my list:

Do not let the dealer wash the car under any circumstances. Request all plastic and protective covering be left on the car (unless you paid for the dealer installed swirl option).

Disclaimer: Not every dealer is bad at washing cars, but a lot of them are.

Do not let dealer stick any dealer emblems on car/remove all dealer emblems from car (this goes for those ugly xdrive emblems as well)

Thatsva good list. I just did a walk around and checked things out...not obsessively. I did have them remove the dealer adv and adhesive from the trunk lid.

I printed the 'data for vin' info as a checklist and made sure everything I ordered was actually there... It was the only way I found the m metal foot rest was missing because I had a pic of the interior... Take your time

Yeah I did that with my car, just got to remember to tell them not to wash when you bring it in for service too.

My biggest thing is to test drive the car and make sure everything is operating correctly. One of my BMWs had a check engine light on at delivery (and yes it was a new car with a bad O2 sensor).

I made sure they didn't wash it prior to my pick up, but that did make it difficult to thoroughly check the paint though. I was pretty paranoid that I was going to miss a big scratch or some other imperfection but all was well.

My dealer gave us the option on front plate when we signed lease for ED. We just signed a waiver.

I asked my dealer that I didn't want any stickers on it at delivery. I go to pick up my car and there's a sticker of the dealer on the trunk...very unprofessional if you ask me
