Missed the Otello, eh? It's all good, it blows me away the frequency and rapid transit of the ships, even though day-by-day it makes me crazy waiting. What did we do 20 years ago??

Yes I did... I don't understand why the phone system said in transit when it was sitting but oh well. The frequency of ships is incredible...such an operation.

Pretty sure mine's on the Tirranna too - it's been at the port for the past few days and I knew the Tirranna was departing today; the BMW website hasn't updated yet, but I just called the 800 number and the status has changed to in transit (since I called earlier today). Woo!
I'll shoot my sales guy an email to confirm. Where are you getting the info you posted above? |

Juuuuust missed her in Southampton - I found a ferry with a webcam and grabbed a screenshot as she passed on the other side of the pier, northwest of the Tirranna with the camera pointed to the southeast. Got the Porgy (green/white ship) and you can just see the Lyra Leader to the right of her in the picture. If you could see farther past/between the Porgy & Lyra Leader, you'd see the Tirranna, because that's where she's currently docked.
In the map view, the Red Osprey (ferry with the webcam) was a bit northwest of where the Great Expectations is when it took the shot. |

and she's on her way...
to Panama, then Port Hueneme. Lucked out this time; last time got on a boat that made a bunch of stops on the east coast before heading to the Panama Canal.

Anyone know of a good webcam that watches the Panamal Canal so we can see the Tirranna pass through? Did a bit of Googling and none of the ones I found easily seem to be working.

https://www.pancanal.com/eng/photo/camera-java.html Edit note: Gatun Locks High Res is working for me now too, that's the first set of locks the Tirranna will pass through (Miraflores is the last). Last edited by Gimmethecash; 11-22-2016 at 10:06 AM.. |
