M235i...jb4 map 1 :thumbdown

hey to all.
i got the 2015 m235.
i put the jb4 and driving in map 1.
according to the company its sould give 60 hp.
in reality the car is weak,Although there is a change.
to me its seems that first till 3rd gear is good and 4rd and upper gears are weaks.
and i think there's a legging when i touch the gas paddle untill u feal it.
can u pleae help me?

i am disappointed of this car...

Sorry to hear you aren't enjoying it. What do you normally drive to get the feeling that an m235i is weak? Unless you're experiencing some sort of fault, the car should feel anything but, even stock. Did you have much time driving it stock before you put the jb4 on?

Are you sure you are running map 1 and not just map 0?
Have you done any updates to the latest firmware? Did you connect everything right?

Lots of factors could be affecting your situation.

Sounds like you are still on map 0.

although I dont have the m235i anymore, i can relate to this post. Map-1 over map-0 doesn't have much of an improvement. Few other people and I were also disappointed in this car despite all the praises which got us switching over to a porsche.

also the symptom of not pulling after 3-4th gear is normal too at map 1. that is fixable once u go map 2+.

it is connected fine, when i connect the laptop, i see map 1.
yes i update the firmware..
i do not use other maps because i been told by jb4 that this is the only map i can use, the other maps required car parts modification.
1.how do i making log file?
2.what i need to change that i will be stage 2.
3. is it imported to replace the charge pipe (i reed that it helping fiil more power and less legging)

hey guys,
there are my logs files in zip for 2 test :

- 3rd gear , jb4 - map1

in the zip files there is:
a) 2 sheets in 1 excel file
b) 2 png files of 2 graphs
c) 2 jpeg files of 2 specs

please notice that in the excel file, there is 2 sheets in 1 excel file.

I can contest to map1 being similar to stock but the new map1 in 3.2 is night and day.

You are hitting 4 psi over stock boost.
Not sure why you are saying this is weak

If you want more power add catless DP and E85

MIKW - u ment 14 psi (i think without jb4 the boost is 12 psi) so its a little change,no ?

No i meant 4 psi.
Stock boost is not 12 . it is 9-10.
On the log you have boost ECU_PSI column gives you stock boost ; Target will give you how much the JB4 is trying to add ; Boost will give you the actual boost. You can see that the JB4 is adding anywhere between 3-4 psi across the RPM range.

Exactly. If you more power you are going to have to buy the parts needed.

You can but i would not suggest changing boost levels above what is recommended by Burger Tuning.
Contact Burger Tuning technical support before changing boost on the JB4.
