I designed exhaust systems for a manufacturing company before I changed my career. One of my last projects there was the E92 M3 and N55 models. The piping can be a bit tricky.
Some factors to consider. Turbo muffles out most of the drone to begin with. The thickness of the pipes play a role in drone. That is why titanium exhausts are generally louder. Quality of the steel. Would you be able to magnet test the exhaust pipes. If it sticks then the metal quality is sub par. If it doesn't then it is a true stainless steel T304 system. |

Any part of the steel is fine. Usually Midpipe section since the Mufflers are usually outsourced. Bends will tend to stick more, so the straight sections should be fine.

This is like the only thread/car on the 2er forum which has a milltek exhaust....
Is there a reason why? I'm looking at getting the cat-back race system, and can't find any reviews/comments.

Sorry to bring back an old post but I would like to know if the Milltek sound is noticeable different from the M Performance Exhaust? I have the MPE and love it but I'm actually interested on the Milltek Race version.
I'm unable to find any other videos on the Internet more that those posted in here by the OP. Thanks for the reply as I see that at leas to members here have the Milltek. Cheers!!! |
