Beat a Porsche 944 Turbo

Pulled up behind him at about 20 after following him around some winding roads. He punched it and tried to pull away and couldn't and from 50-80 I was on his tail pipe holding back because he could not pull away. We pulled over at an auto parts store and his words were" I'm shocked". He didn't know what I was driving and he looked at the side of the car and said "M". I had to laugh with all the bitching on these threads about all the M's. He didn't know what a M235 was but he does now. He had done a lot of work on the car but I have no idea how much HP he had.

You knock down little kids at the park for fun? Pick on old people too?

He tracked the car and if our rims are 7.5 and 8.0 his must have been 8.5 and 9.0. He had been teasing me for 1.5 miles slowing down and then pulling away so he picked the fight not me. Like I said he did a lot of mods. The 944 is one of my favorite cars all time (I'm 61) and a car I always wanted to own. By the way, I am old people and I pick on young people since he was under 30.

By the way, 2778 lbs vs 3500 so weight isn't everything.

Sounds like you had fun. These cars are still pretty rare so most people don't know what we have.

Most people think I'm driving a 4 series.

Funny. And good for you guys having some clean fun and then talking about it with each other. But, there are some "subtle" advancements that have been made sine the 944 debuted.

More your size. Believe me with the 1M every idiot in a pickup wanted to race me that doesn't mean you risk life or limb on public roads. With great power comes responsibility.

If you don't like the story don't read it or maybe you don't get the point. The guy wanted to race me dumbass and it happened to be one of the cars I always wanted to own back in the late 80's when BMW's were 0-60 in 9 seconds. If you have no appreciation for the bury of the 944 than go fuck off.

1988 944 turbo S 5.5 seconds 0-60 without mods and that's what he was driving with mods, get your facts right and then make an argument. He wasn't driving a non turbo. There is definitely some reading comprehension issues with some people on this thread. Where the hell you got 8.3 seconds must have been pulled out of your ass.

Guy simply tells a story about beating another car and folks come out the woodwork to hate. Keep on hating, you're just giving us more time to shine.

I can relate to Lucky13...back in the 80s, the 944 Turbo was a serious beast... mid 5s for 0-60 and high 13s for 1/4 mile was among my dream cars. I remember trying to race one with my Acura Integra GS-R and got totally smoked (that was 20 years ago at least and I can remember clearly )

It really shows how much cars have advanced since then.
