2 weeks still waiting for a ship to the US
Hello all,
Per the tracking via BMW website and by calling everyday for an update the 228i took a week to manufacture, then another to get to Bremerhaven. Now going on two weeks (today) and still no ship to the US. Maybe it got damaged and their trying to repair it? Is it normal to wait two weeks at port waiting for a ship to the US? |

Two weeks is not unusual.

My car waited at the port 20 days to get on a boat.
It wasn't till I placed my VIN# at the Wilhelmsen tracking page that I new my car was on a ship. And my car arrived perfect, not a scratch exterior or interior, wheel rims perfect. |

My M235i completed production on August 9th and was assigned to Columbia Highway which departed yesterday on the 14th with an estimated arrival date of August 27th in Brunswick, GA. Which port is your car being shipped to?
I just got the update a few minutes ago - when I called yesterday they had apparently not updated their system yet. |

Thanks Dave 235. I looked on the list and I see there is hope for me yet! I will have to call and get my VIN to track it. I only have the production # as of now.

Ironically on Aug 15, I called 800 automatic machine while I was pretty bored at work and it said the vehicle was in transit... Then I figured my car was indeed on the ship of Aug 14. I then tracked using my VIN and the system also said my car was there, and in addition, the "ticket" was booked back on Jul 25... I have not idea what this ticket booking stuff could mean, but wish that will give you a bit more hope! |

I hate waiting but you can't rush perfection. I am sitting here waiting on a VIN going out of my mind!

Amen to that. I've never read/watched so many videos on a car in my life. I drank the Kool-Aid
