Fuel pump "campaign" ?
I received a voice message from my local BMW dealer that my 2014 M235i should be brought in for a campaign repair. So I returned the call and asked
what was up. The service department lady said a fuel input device had to be replaced, free of charge. I replied, "the fuel pump?" She said she didn't know. So I did some brief research and it seems the fuel pump is the culprit - some sort of nickel plating issue. Car goes in Wednesday. Anyone else had this done to their car?

Wow! I can't wait to be told I need a "fuel-input device." And the fact that she had no idea what it was is icing on the cake.

Since that dealership is almost 10 hours away I never went back to get it done. I should call a dealer near me. Thanks for the reminder!! |
