Changed my M235i xDrive order to a 435i xDrive
After placing an order for the M235i xDrive a month and a little bit ago I had some second thoughts. Not because there's anything wrong with the 2.
I previously had a 135i cab when the kids were young and have had an X3 for the past 3 years. I think I just got used to the space. The M235i is such a fun car to drive but I needed that little bit extra room in the back seat so I pulled the trigger on a 435i xDrive on the train from Halifax. With it being month end the deal I got was far better than I thought I could get so that help push me to go for the more expensive vehicle. With the 4 you do get more room and better interior refinement but it is muted in terms of it's driving fell when you compare it to the 2. The 2 certainly felt more connected to the road and it is easier to "throw around". I don't think I could have gone wrong with either car. Now I'll have to start looking at the 4 forum. Maybe I'll look at the 2 again when the cabriolet comes out. I don't like hard top convertibles so I wouldn't get a 4 cab. Have fun with your 2's.

You mean lower roof line? Yes, the 4 has a lower roof line but it's overall leg room difference is significant and that's what I'm looking at. I am 6' tall and sat in the back seat in both of them with the driver seat set to where I would want it and the 4 had better overall room. My kids are almost 15 and 12 and for them the 4 would be more comfortable. For me the driver there is a width increase going from the 2 to the 4 but either way I would be fine.

Great Choice! Did something quite similar: i switched from 235i to 435d xdrive.
Mostly because the Interieur just Feels larger in the 4 Series. Even thou i dont really Need the space, the choice just feels right. Nevertheless the 2 Series is a great car, as you said, there is no wrong choice! :-) |

Not even sure what that means but if it's your way of defending your decision to get a M235i, that's good for you. Troll alert.
