M240i on its way to the port!

Spoke to my dealer today. He said we should get the vin by the end of this week or beginning of next week. Production is slotted for week 36 (September 5th). Question for everyone else with theirs already on the way is this: When did you guys get your vin? Was it the week before or 2 weeks before?

I ask because my loan approval ends on September 2nd so we need the vin so we can use the loan before then. Also, when were you guys able to register for myBMW to start tracking production?

I can't answer the first one because I got my second allocation when it was already in production (I got a VIN that day).

The BMW US site did not find my car until it had been in production for a few days already.

Try a different genius? Mine just said that my 240 was released from the VPC to a trucking company today, estimated to arrive at my dealership in 3 days. Sounds to me like things are now moving normally, EPA beaurocracy is behind us, and no model year release date to wait for. I can't imagine 230s would be different, but perhaps. All I know is mine is on its way, and hopefully yours is too beemdouble!

Congrats! So close now. Any others got their cars on a truck already?

Mine doesn't get to Port Hueneme until 9/2; delivery should be mid September. It's currently making its way down to the Panama Canal!

My vehicle was released and in rout to the dealer... Should have it any day now!

I bet the 230s have not been signed off yet

my salesman told me that its cleared for trucking out of the port, est date is 8/25. Cant wait!

Nice to read that the '17s are making their way into their owners' hands. As I may be shopping next spring, I will be interested to read what the new owners have to say about their cars.
