Greetings from Sydney... new BSM 220i (w/ shiny pics)
Thought I should drop by and introduce myself. Have read this forum extensively in the lead up to ordering (and the four month wait for delivery) my new 2er.
I am a late-in-life driver (I've spent my whole life living and working in inner cities), only getting my license about two years ago at the age of 33. This is my second car, and second BMW, the first being a 1997 black and tan 1.9 Z3. It is a considerable upgrade in pretty much every way. In terms of build, I ticked the boxes for all the handling-related upgrades - VSS, adaptive suspension, M Sport brakes - and took the xenons, HK audio and top-end Nav system. I have only a few mods planned - I have an OEM M235i exhaust sitting in a cupboard and plan to have that installed alongside the M Performance rear diffuser and black front grill. And I will most likely fit a tune once it's settled in a bit more (I've only put 1k kms on it so far) with the aim of hitting around 228i levels of performance (the 228i wasn't available in Australia at the time I placed my order...). Attached are a few pics taken by my detailer when I dropped it in to be detailed and coated with OptiCoat Pro... they're much nicer than what I've managed to take with my iPhone so thought I'd share them  |

Cheers for the replies. They are the Ferric Grey wheels. And yeah they're still pretty rare around Sydney. In the past four months or so I've seen one BSM M235i and theres an AW 220d that drives around near my office fairly regularly but that's been it.
