Inflate tires to the maximum cold pressure shown on the tire sidewall to help reduce flatspotting. Don't forget to deflate to normal usage upon return! Fill tank to first shutoff (never top off!).

Jay Leno's Garage has a good piece on trickle battery charges / worth googling.
Make sure car is clean - and run the heat on the HVAC real good to make sure no bacterial growth in the system. There was a similar post a few weeks back that was informative - hope you can find it. Last edited by overcoil; 12-27-2014 at 05:01 PM.. |

I'd add some fuel stabilizer if it's going to sit for 3 months.

After leaving my cars in the garage last year for several months I would also suggest covering your car to avoid dust buildup. I put down several towels and used a plastic drop cloth (new) over them. Of course, a fitted car cover is even better.

You may have this covered, but depending upon where you are leaving it, or with whom, might wish to make sure there are no other items near by.
Bicycles, gardening equipment, hanging items, bins and other items might need to be removed from area if others are using the area. I stored in a nearby garage and noted some garden items that had been hung on the wall, perilously hanging by hooks in what we call dry wall board [put up by someone who did not take the time to find wall studding.] I offered to correct that and did. I put extra padding towels at all four corners when I do this same thing--in that, if someone is going to be near and walking around the car to "get at things" corners are usually vulnerable. And mirrors should be tucked, doors locked to shut down on excessive battery usage. Last, you mention keys not given to anyone...BUT should the car have to be moved for any tragic reason...I would want someone trusted to have those keys. Just some thots from someone who stores all the time. |

How long on average is waiting period for M235i's from ordering to arrival? Mine took nearly 6 months... |

+1. Helps keep the tires from flat spots and sediment forming in the tank. If you store for more than 3 months then some fuel stabilizer would help too.
