showing driving restraint

I'm sure we've had to do this at one time.

I have about ~300 mi on my m235. So far I'm staying within the break-in period guidelines.

So I pull up to a red light next to an i3 in a busy downtown beach area. Looked over and dude looked like about a mid-30 year old hipster with money. I'm thinking...

Dude pulls off hard at the light, he must of floored it. WTF: he thinks his i3 is faster.

We meet up again a few lights later. I'm thinking...what's the 0-60 of the i3?

Do I want to get blown away by an i3 on a busy street.

He pulled off hard again. What a dick. I let him go. When I got home I checked the 0-60 of the i3.

Now who is the compensating dick with something to prove here?

You actually checked the 0-60 when you got home?

That's highly suspect man.

I actually had the i3 for a few days during the extended test drive promotion at the beginning of the year. It's surprisingly quick.

That being said, I could never let an i3 show me up lol.

Electric cars have their torque available instantly. 0-60 may not be great, but off the line they can be very fast. Regardless, it's like picking a fight with a girl on the playground; you look like a d**k, win or lose.

The only current BMW that will NOT get schooled by the i3, is probably the i8....

from 0-30 mph that is.

I did say win or lose; I'm not presuming anything.

The "break in" period end once I leave the dealer parking lot!

The i3 is the fastest car BMW has ever made from 0-40 MPH. If you guys were racing stop light to stop light he would've embarrassed you.

I like the i3. I'm not suer if I'd purchase one but it looks funky and I appreciate it.

Totally agree with this.

Not sure if this is true or not, but a quick search shows conflicting information.
3.9 seconds 0-40 i3
2.4 seconds 0-40 M235i

As long as she doesn't dislocate any sockets I'm ok with that

tbh I like the i3 and the design of it, especially the interior and the fancy CFRP. If its reliability is proven and the range gets better maybe a future model will replace the ol highlander. I'm a sucker for the fancy woods in the interior

Thing is nobody will notice the silent shoe box taking off.... but everybody will hear the exhaust and the tire squeal on the M235

Now.... hope there is not a turn at the end of the road if you are driving the i3

The i3 is wearing 175 section Q rated Bridgestone Ecopia

Even if the thing made enough torque to outlaunch an M235, they would simply go up in a cloud of smoke.
