I'm definitely in the minority here, but I'm kinda bored with my 235 already... I've owned the car since August and it's just become a bit stale for me. I'm not one to jump around cars either, my last car was a 2010 VW Golf that I owned for 5 years. The 235 is by far the fastest car I've ever owned but I feel like it needs more power. The next closest car in power I've owned was a 1999 Honda Prelude SH and that thing revved to 8000 RPMs and handled on rails, it was a blast. I've got M performance exhaust and a 6-speed so I would've thought i'd be totally satisfied with it for a long long time..I just can't pinpoint what it's missing. It probably also has something to do with the insane residuals on the M3s right now, I wish my finance guy never mentioned that

My one year anniversary with her is coming up in two weeks. I still get that feeling every time I approach her. Love my M235i more now than when I picked her up in Spartanburg.

Only one thing could tear me away. M2.

8000 RPM is nice, but still a little short of the 9000 my RX-8 would do without a whimper. Handled good, too. Just needed more torque and better MPG. Great car, but I'd never go back.

Lost that feeling when I traded my E60 m5 in for a 2013 335I msport (which had a bms stage 1 tune). Car was numb and boring to drive. Hoping my new m235 which should arrive in 2 weeks will alleviate that a bit.

Perhaps you got it in the wrong color. Or, the voluptuous GF is missing.

If you are looking at the same power as an M5 or close to it, you need to go FBO with stage 2 tune.

I love my 235, I've had her for 7ish months. I really like riding around with the windows down now that summer has arrived, the inline 6 sounds so nice.

But I do have a dilemma, a mistress has appeared in my life you could say. I was able to test drive the M4 about a month ago....I can't stop thinking about that car....the engine on her, the looks, the hood bulge, my goodness.

But I still love my 235.

I have had my 228i for 11 months and I still love the car. Even with its small faults it is a very enjoyable car to drive. That being said I still pine for a Porsche and will not be satisfied until I have one.

had my 235 since last May and I can't get enough of it! Still stop and stare every time I get out of it.

If a guy doesn't stop and stare at his car every time he gets out of it, he has the wrong car. Not only do I stop and stare at my 2, I'll often come back to it during the day to stare at it some more; and wipe off any fresh dust that may have fallen on it. Sick, I know, but I wouldn't be happy with a car that didn't give me "that feeling".

And there you go! OP needs to find a new car.

As for me, still caressing my 2!

To drive or not to drive

I have owned 2 E46 325i's (well one was called a 323i (1999), but we all know better) and been driving the 2002 since I bought it new 13.5 years ago.

I tell people I like driving. Because I do....But the dirty truth its a lie if I have to drive anything other than my car. The mix of agility, MT engagement, and excellent visibility out this car just makes or breaks the whole deal.

With a 156k miles and many years on her (even with a good maintenance and replaced suspension components), Briana (yeah I named her a very long time ago) is starting to lose a little bit of her edge.

I pick up my new M235i in a week or so in Munich. The anticipation I am feeling is exhilarating and borderline childish. Oh hell, it's 8 year old night before Christmas shit!

By the 3 year mark, I start to get antsie for something new again and I suspect that will be the case with my M235 too...

Right now? Having fun and just enjoying it...

Waiting for some new mods to come in and that always spices things up too..Like a new sex toy..

I know this is gonna get me in trouble, but that's the difference between men and women.......generally. Men LOVE cars. Women, not so much.

Perhaps, but most women love men, so it kinda works out well all around for us!
