That feeling

I don't know about any of you but with the cars i've had I somewhat get bored of them or desire them to death (my M235 to be exact). I've had my car now for 5 months and I could honestly say I still get thrilled going for a drive in it. Do any of you get that thrill or have you lost it? This goes for all cars not just for M235i's. Just curious to see!

Only had mine for a month now. I look for reasons to drive it is so much fun. I work from home and it kills me not to drive on the days I have no where to go!

I've had my M235i for one year this month and it never fails to satisfy me or put a big smile on my face. I've been driving for 51 years and this the first car I've ever owned that never fails to give me a thrill!

I've had my M235 for all of 18 hours now, but I can't see how I could get bored with driving it. This is the most enjoyable car to drive that I've ever owned.

YEs, Had my M2351 Convertible Since mid Feb. Was out of town on a long weekend, and Sunday night I actually could not wait to drive to work in the morning...
I get a mini thrill every time I fire it up!

I know the feeling and love the car, a few niggles about it, but nothing that would make me not enjoy the drive. My largest issue came today after I was given a 428i GC loaner with full HK system. Wow, I completely understand the greatness that HK can be ... and I am even more disappointed with BMWs obvious cheapness in not offering it in the 2er.

So off to my next mission - upgrade sound to come close to the 3 & 4 series HK. After my other mods are complete (HR springs and window tint), gotta have priorities!

But a quality HK system should not be a fight in a $50k vehicle. Having had a 228 loaner, with HK, it is nowhere near the same, not by a long shot.

Glad to read this. I still love driving my E36 M3 after owning it for 12 years. I am waiting for confirmation on an M235 order, but am worried that some of the thrill may be gone with the newer car. Glad to see pretty much unanimous consent that the car is a blast, even after the honeymoon phase.

Don't worry at all. When you get your M235i, you'll see how far BMW has come, but more importantly you'll see how much it is the same. To me, the M235i feels like a refined E36 M3. It's like the difference between yourself in high school and yourself after college. You're the same person, only better.

I guarantee you'll love it or your money back!

WFH a lot myself, the only reason I drive into the office is to drive the car. Its a satisfying experience, some runs are funner than others. I do crave more power however.
