Seems like an eternity. I'm still waiting.

Get this, I originally ordered a 228i M-Sport in Septrmber. Put up my deposit, was excited. The dealer never got allocation. Kept telling me, next month. In late December the dealer still hadn't received allocation to build my car. I cancelled the order with that dealer.

Found a new dealer. I successfully ordered my M235i the very last week of January. My M235i finished production on February 13. As of 10 minutes ago it's still waiting at the port to be assigned to a ship.

I ordered My M235i on December 9, 2014. Production complete January 19, 2015. It just hit the port in California February 27, 2015. Dealer said from their experience I should have the car within 10 days from when it hits land. Looks like a full eight weeks from order to delivery

Order my M235i xDrive at the end of Oct 14. Picking it up next week. Due to several shifts to the right on the production date it's finally in production this week. It'll be nice to jump into it after I get back from Ireland this weekend.

Ordered on Dec 3, 2014. Production number assigned on Dec 5. The vessel will hit Port Hueneme on March 5. Hopefully taking the car home sometime next week.

No port install options. BMW took a month off in December, so orders should be quicker if your car is ordered and shipped out in other months of the year.

It should be about 10 weeks for West Coast people and about 13-14 weeks when they are off in December.

Got an allocation/ordered mine ~jan 28th, finished production feb 11, got on the boat on feb 17th, due in port on March 7.

I'm hoping that port is quick with the LSD install and I get delivery the end of next week, but am prepared for delivery the week of March 16th.


I think for most here, It depends on when a dealer gets an allocation. I/We had to call several dealers to get an allocation of theirs (we ended up having to trade away an M235i vert for my allocation)

Ordered Jan 29th, PCD April 17th. As people have mentioned there is luck involved with acquiring an allocation and getting on a boat. My car finished production ~2 weeks ago and has yet to be shipped, hopefully this week though! Good Luck.

Edit: Just checked and she got on a boat today! Doesn't really matter though as my timetable is already set in stone.

Ordered my 2015 M235i Convertible Nov 11, recvd it Feb 18th.... but I think the convertibles were held up by the EPA until then.. might be quicker. Good luck!
Loving it, but it says I am getting only 21.9 mpg... expected much more... all highway. Love it though!

I waited for several weeks for an M235i to arrive at my dealer. When it arrived, I was number one on the dealers list for a test drive. I took it home the same day.

As to my total car shopping experience, I spent almost a year reading reviews and considering all sorts of sports cars, sports coupes and other high performance iron.

I've never been happier with a car!

Hello Everyone,

Would anyone know if there are port installed options such as MPE how much longer does this delay the vehicle from arriving at the dealer?

I ordered in Mid January and on the BMW website it's on the "Finishing Touches" stage and has been there for about 5 days.

** Oh yeah with my luck the CA that assisted me is no longer working at the dealer... Wonder if that will affect anything?

I ordered my M235I Xdrive on January 22nd and they told me it was being built in the middle of March and now it's being built next week. I live in upstate NY. Any Ideas when I could be here?

I'd guess sometime around early June. No way to know for sure though.
