Could you post the link please? I'd be willing to try if it is simple enough.

The video posted doesn't seem that bad to me. Almost normal for a cold start at least in my experience. It raises the cold idle RPMs higher than warm idle as part of the cat warmup process. Mike |

This is what BMS sent me, 3 options that may help: one 1/4in nut on one screw, one on the other, or one on both. I'll have to give it a try and do some trail and error, see what works. Last edited by ocN55; 04-10-2015 at 02:59 PM.. |

Took the BMS intake off last night and went back to the stock one. The hesitation (not turbo lag, but the hesitating from applying the throttle to the car actually responding) seems greatly reduced. This morning on cold start up the engine surging was non-existent as was the random surging at steady throttle. I haven't had a lot of seat time yet, but so far so good. The car is fun to drive again.

Ya... That doesn't really seem like a great solution. Could start more problems down the road. I don't know, I might have to hold off on buying a BMS Intake right now and look at my options. BMS needs to figure this out because it seems to be a design flaw with how close the MAF is, they need to have a better solution than just putting nuts under the screws for space. Hopefully they can solve this the right way instead of just taking short cuts...

If the problem keeps happening or gets worse, I'll try doing this. It hasn't happened again. I trust Terry so I don't mind trying out his suggestion. What this simply does is change the MAF orientation relative to incoming airflow. This will have some effect on how it reads air flow at idle

This is a joke not a solution !! People pay money for a product then this is the solution !! Shows allot about the company you are dealing with !! How can you release a product to market and have this as a solution .... good thing its cheap and nasty ! I bet Gen 2 will not have these issues ... like most things from burger they release products to the market then have the public refine there R&D at no expense to them. Interesting concept.

So they should !! and refund you the money for having to trouble shoot your own issue in the first place !! The intake is the issue its a flawed design and my point is it should not be on the market .
