Tune for a leased car

Hi everyone, I have a 2015 235i and I was wondering what is the best tune/chips whatever I can get away with without blowing my warranty on my leased car.

I don't believe there's such thing and as warranty keeping tune, maybe Dinan?. It all depends on your SA if he/she is mod friendly. Ask around for mod friendly dealerships.

BMS Jb stage 1
Takes 5 minutes to install and uninstall
Thats by far the most popular choice for leased cars

If you go Dinan, you don't have to take it off for services.

Dinan also will cover their tune for the warranty of your car.

If you have it installed at your local Dinan authorized bmw dealer, they should not give you any issues at all with warranty. Try to get everything in writing.

Yea thanks, my local dealer has a Dinan shop but I wanted to avoid Dinan because the people at that dealership are assholes.

there's a live thread on the other forum site discussing just how hard it can be to have "under warranty" work performed when something (even something simple like a crappy N55 chargepipe) goes wrong

I can heartily recommend Burger Tuning's products and service, and something like a JB stage 1 is easy to pull off if you think your dealer will give you a hard time about it

The Dinan warranty situation has changed a bit over the last few years.

Until around 2011 or so, a Dinan tune would not void BMW's warranty.

After the Dinan / BMW relationship ended, a Dinan tune on an in-warranty BMW will void parts of the BMW warranty, but Dinan gives you a separate warranty the picks up the pieces that BMW drops. Using a BMW dealer who's also a Dinan dealer makes the process simple, as they decide which broken pieces get charged to the appropriate covering corporate entity. More details here: http://www.dinancars.com/warranty/

You're still fully covered, but the old "Go Dinan and keep your BMW warranty" phrase is no longer strictly accurate. On a leased car, BMW may take umbrage at the changes.

Just remove the tune before service. If youre thinking of going fbo then just buy or CPO. A plug and play tune like the jb4 takes 20 minutes max to remove.
