Any reviews on aktive autowerke's Active-8 tune?

I'm close to pulling the trigger on this tune, wwas just wondering if anyone had any reviews on it? Also, can it be run on 91 octane? Thanks for any inputs.

You can run it on 91, i have seen a couple reviews and they were good ones.
The Active Autowerke tune comes with a 14 day money back guarantee, you can give it a try and simply return it if you are not satisfied

Edit: AA comes with a 30 day money back guarantee not 14

We have many review on other platforms such as f series m3/m4 ,335,435,328,320,428,m5,m6 etc.. We just released this tune for the 235 so it takes a few days before customers receive their tunes.

Can you discuss the advantages of your box over the RaceChip and Manhart options? Thank you!

Just ordered mine. I will post an update once I receive it and get it installed. If anyone else is thinking of ordering, talk to Andrew, he's very helpful.

Necropost. Anyone have any new impressions about this tune? How is it better than the burger stage 1? Thanks.

I'm just curious about the power delivery and daily driveability of this tune vs the burger or jb4. Also, is the AA8 overkill if you only plan on getting an intake and exhaust?

In my onion AA8 is a stage 1.5 tune
It is very similar to the BMS stage 1 in terms of how it works and how much power it makes
It does offer numerous maps, it has access to the RPM an can control boost by RPM and it is offered in a weather proof box
Easy install and uninstall for dealership visits

Its major con is its price because it costs more than a stage 2

Summary: if you are looking for a tune easy to install and uninstall, gives you different maps, comes in a weather proof box and offers 30 day money back guarantee you should give the AA a try

I have had my AA8 for a few months now. The car has seen a couple of hours of HPDE time an countless hours in bumper-to-bumper traffic, some long road trips and general commuting. Thus far I am extremely happy with the product and think it was a good choice.

Over the years I have had multiple FI cars, and a variety of different tunes. From the APR flash on my MKV GTI, AFE Scorcher on my 2 e9x 335i's, Cobb tunes on my Focus ST and Evo X, AFE Scorcher on my f30 328i, to this AA8 I have tried many different approaches. For a piggyback tune, the AA8 is fantastic! Power delivery is very linear and smooth. Under conservative driving conditions, the car feels totally stock (a good thing IMHO). At this point I have no reservations about heartily recommending the AA8.

Hope that helps.

Oh man, that's awesome. Yeah, when just cruising around with my wife I'd want it to be close to stock and fast when I want it. Thanks for the impressions.

AA8 Seems to be the Best choice that suits my needs as per now, i loved their logs per RPM and the fact that peak boost comes rather high at around 5500 , only thing missing is some independent dyno logs so far
