M235i Manual Transmission Model?

Does anyone know the model of the 6 speed manual transmission? Is it the exact same model as the ones found in the F87 M2, F80 M3 and F82 M4? Basically the updated 1M 6MT transmission. Is there a throttle blip when you downshift a M235i?

I'm contemplating a used M235i or a M2 and I'm wondering if the 6MT feel will be the exact same experience as across the board M235/M2/M3/M4.

Not the same as the M2. As said above, no rev matching.

The F8x manual gearbox is apparently revised from the 1M.

Here's what I found regarding the M2 manual gearbox:
The all-new BMW M2 comes as standard with a six-speed manual gearbox, which stands out with its compact design and low weight. The use of a new type ofcarbon-fiber friction lining enhances shift precision. Dry-sump lubrication prevents any sloshing of the transmission oil and ensures all components benefit from an efficient supply of lubricant. An engagement speed control function, which blips the throttle on downshifts and lowers the engine's revs on upshifts, makes gear changes even smoother and lends the car additional stability during hard driving on the track. Experienced drivers can still take pride in performing the task of perfectly orchestrateddown-shifts on their own by deactivating the system in DSC OFF mode.

I can't find any manual M cars to drive to compare even if I do go find a M235i in a manual. I'm pretty set on a manual M2 but I'm just curious if the M235i manual version is the same. From what I can tell, the manual M2/M3/M4 manual gearboxes are pretty much as good as it gets. With the M2 being so similar to the M235, I was just wondering if it's the same even if it doesn't have the rev matching.

Yes it IS indeed the SAME manual gearbox, minus the rev-matching software. Check realoem.com. All N55/S55 (in addition to 1M) cars share the same manual transmission. It's a ZF type K or GS6-45BZ.

Same as the 1M transmission. Very interesting that BMW advocates changing the oil in those transmissions every 30k miles and at 1,200 miles but our cars have the "lifetime fill".

It appears the M3 and M4 also use a GS6-45BZ gearbox. How does the gear ratios do with the power of a M1 or a M235? Is there a noticeable difference between the 7 gears from the DCT vs the GS6-45BZ?
