And yea, if you are dead set on doing spring ED, I'd try to get on a list. Hell it would be cool if you can go do the mass ED that will surely be set up.

Too early to say for sure, but it would reasonable to expect F87 LCI alongside F22 LCI. As for the timing, may not happen for MY2017. 2018 is more likely.

Man, do I hate speculation. I wish BMW would just give us some real info on this car. I'm 99.999999% sure that I am in on the M2 as soon as I can order it, but some actual facts would be great.

Could be, didn't think of that. I was thinking more likely Geneva autoshow for M2 concept, Frankfurt for full production car. NY is definitely a possibility too I guess

So what's the deal with all the reports suggesting that the M2 will be offered with AWD after the first model year?
One article I read also said that the AWD M2 will weigh more than the M235i. I never trust any of these reports, but I'm curious to hear what you all have to say about it. |

M2 will be the last of the M cars to be offered in X Drive (M boss doesn't like AWD reference tut tut chaps) I think I read this in an article a few months back. M2s objective is to be a simple interpretation of the M values and lightweight fun. Optional X Drive coming further up the M chain initially.
I think the articles are tagging onto the M235i being offered in X Drive and thus 'they're almost the same vehicle' journo. I think an X Drive M2 might weigh more than an S Drive M235i though yes, extra 70kh for the system?
